Halmstads BK secured a well-deserved victory when they faced Kalmar FF on Saturday afternoon at Guldfågeln Arena. The match started evenly, with both teams trying to find gaps in the opponent's defense. After 20 minutes, Halmstad took the lead through Mikael Boman, assisted by King Osei Gyan.

Kalmar attempted to equalize but struggled to penetrate Halmstad's defense. In the 48th minute, Halmstad received a warning, a yellow card, to Fredrik Liverstam. Kalmar brought in Cesar Santin in the 64th minute in place of Tor Øyvind Stensæter Hovda, hoping to add offensive strength.

However, Halmstad was strong and increased their lead in the 69th minute with a header from Marcus Antonsson, assisted by Johan Blomberg. Blomberg was then substituted, with Kristoffer Fagercrantz coming on in the 75th minute, while Filip Sachpekidis was brought in for Kalmar FF in hopes of changing the course of the match. But in the 77th minute, Marcus Antonsson scored another goal for Halmstad, making the score 0-3.

Kalmar substituted Ludvig Öhman Silwerfeldt for Nenad Djordjevic in the 83rd minute, while Halmstad made a triple substitution. Antonio Rojas was replaced by Eric Smith after 80 minutes. King Osei Gyan also had to leave the pitch, with Oliver Silverholt entering instead.

The match seemed to be in the bag when Kalmar managed to reduce the deficit to 1-3 in the 93rd minute, thanks to a goal from Pär Eriksson, assisted by Jonathan Ring. But it was too late for Kalmar to recover, and Halmstad finished the match with a victory. A total of 3,602 spectators had gathered to follow the match, and the referee was Martin Strömbergsson, assisted by Daniel Gustavsson and Joakim Flink. With this win, Halmstads BK moved up to 10th place in the table, while Kalmar FF remained in 11th place.
