Malmö FF delivered an impressive performance as they defeated Hammarby 3-1 in the Allsvenskan at Swedbank Stadion on Monday evening. In front of a crowd of 19,849, it was the home team that took the lead after twelve minutes of play, with Markus Rosenberg heading the ball in after a fine assist from Oscar Lewicki.

However, Hammarby responded quickly, equalizing three minutes later when Kennedy Bakircioglu slotted the ball in following a great pass from Linus Hallenius. But Malmö FF would not back down and continued to pressure Hammarby; they eventually got their reward when Oscar Lewicki scored the team's second goal in the 39th minute after a nice cross from Jo Inge Berget.

In the second half, Hammarby made several attempts to find the equalizer, but Malmö FF held strong at the back and even managed to extend their lead to 3-1 when Agon Mehmeti found the net in stoppage time. The match concluded with a well-deserved victory for Malmö FF, who showcased a strong defensive performance and were effective in their attacks.

The match referee was Martin Strömbergsson, who had to handle several situations where players from both teams protested or received warnings. Among others, Hammarby's Erik Israelsson received a warning in the 57th minute, and Birkir Mar Saevarsson received a warning in the 90th minute. Agon Mehmeti also received a yellow card in the 90+3rd minute after picking up his second warning of the match.

This result was an important victory for Malmö FF, who are now in second place in the Allsvenskan, just one point behind leaders IFK Göteborg. For Hammarby, the loss means they continue to struggle at the bottom of the table with only one win in seven matches.
