IF Elfsborg welcomed AIK at home on a sunny Tuesday evening at Borås Arena. The teams delivered an entertaining match with full throttle forward from both sides. It was the guests from Stockholm who started off best, and after just two minutes of play, Nabil Bahoui scored 0-1 following a nice pass from Ebenezer Ofori.

IF Elfsborg did not want to be outdone and started to fight back into the match. After eight minutes, Viktor Claesson struck and equalized to 1-1, assisted by Per Frick. Just eight minutes later, Per Frick himself scored 2-1 for the home team, this time after a fine cross from Arber Zeneli. But AIK did not give up, and just two minutes after Elfsborg took the lead, it was once again time for Nabil Bahoui to break the deadlock for the Stockholmians, this time assisted by Johan Blomberg.

However, Elfsborg wanted to show that they deserved to be at the top of the table and struck again. Arber Zeneli provided the decisive pass for his team's third goal, scored by Zeneli's countryman, Lars Nilsson. With only a few minutes left in the match, AIK tried to get back into the game, but Elfsborg defended their lead firmly and securely, taking all three points at home.

The match featured a high tempo and many fine attacks. But it was IF Elfsborg who showed their strength and took home the victory in this entertaining match. With this result, Elfsborg leads the Allsvenskan while AIK sits in fifth place in the table.
