AIK crushed Örebro 3-0 at the National Arena on Sunday. Just four minutes in, Örebro received a warning when Daniel Björnkvist fouled an opponent, a warning that would prove to be a precursor to what was to come.
After half an hour of play, AIK took the lead when Nabil Bahoui headed in a ball after a corner, assisted by Noah Sonko Sundberg. Five minutes later, Henok Goitom made it 2-0 for AIK, a scoreline they maintained until halftime.
In the second half, AIK continued to dominate, and Björnkvist received his second yellow card and was sent off shortly after the break. Örebro tried to find their way back into the game with a substitution, but it proved to be in vain.
In the 71st minute, Fredrik Brustad extended the lead to 3-0, after a fine pass from Goitom. AIK continued to create chances but failed to increase their lead further. The match ended 3-0, which was also the final score.
14,331 spectators filled Friends Arena, and referee Andreas Ekberg maintained a good line. Peter Allheim and Fredrik Klyver were the assistant referees on the field. With the victory, AIK climbed to fourth place in Allsvenskan, while Örebro remained in seventh place.
