Djurgården won their third consecutive match in Allsvenskan when they defeated GIF Sundsvall 2-0 on Sunday afternoon. Omar Colley opened the scoring in the 52nd minute with a header from a corner kick taken from the right. Djurgården's Nyasha Mushekwi then extended the lead to 2-0 in the 63rd minute, converting a ball into the net after a fine pass from Tim Björkström.

GIF Sundsvall tried to get back into the match, but Djurgården's defense held firm against their attacks and kept a clean sheet. Goalkeeper Per Kristian Bråtveit had a quiet day at work and made no major mistakes.

The match seemed to be over already at halftime with Djurgården leading 1-0, but GIF Sundsvall fought hard to find the crucial goals. They had a chance to reduce the deficit when they were awarded a penalty after Nyasha Mushekwi handled the ball in the penalty area, but Haris Radetinac in Djurgården's goal managed to save Rúnar Sigurjónsson's attempt.

The crowd at Idrottsparken witnessed a hard-fought encounter where both teams battled fiercely, but in the end, it was Djurgården who came out on top and took home three points from Sundsvall.
