IF Elfsborg secured the victory against Kalmar FF at Borås Arena in a fairly even match that ended 2-1.

Already after 17 minutes, the home team took the lead with Viktor Claesson's header goal following an assist from Anders Svensson. However, Kalmar FF equalized before halftime, in the 37th minute, when David Elm headed the ball in from a pass by Jonathan Ring.

But IF Elfsborg did not let themselves be defeated by the equalizer and regained the lead in the second half through Arber Zeneli, who found the net after an assist from Viktor Claesson.

Kalmar FF tried to equalize again, but they could not manage it. Instead, they received two yellow cards - Marcus Thorbjörnsson was booked in the 56th minute and Sebastian Ramhorn in the 65th.

Kalmar FF made a substitution - in came Papa Alioune Diouf for Pär Eriksson in the 57th minute. Then Marcus Antonsson was substituted in for Jonathan Ring in the 69th minute. IF Elfsborg's Marcus Rohdén received a yellow card in the 78th minute.

Kalmar FF made another substitution, with Ludvig Öhman Silwerfeldt coming in for Sebastian Ramhorn in the 83rd minute. IF Elfsborg substituted Simon Lundevall in for Arber Zeneli in the 86th. Finally, Kalmar FF's Papa Alioune Diouf also received a yellow card in the 88th minute.

The match ultimately ended with a victory for IF Elfsborg, 2-1 at home, allowing them to maintain their fourth place in the Allsvenskan table, while Kalmar FF remains in thirteenth place. The attendance at Borås Arena was 6,782 spectators, and the referee Andreas Ekberg, along with assistants Magnus Sjöblom and Björn Lindroth, kept the match in check.
