IFK Göteborg secured an important victory at Gamla Ullevi in tonight's match against Falkenbergs FF. The match began with a balanced first half where both teams created chances but were unable to find the back of the net.

However, in the 55th minute, Göteborg took the lead after a nice combination between Gustav Svensson and Søren Rieks, with Rieks managing to put the ball in the goal. Falkenberg tried to create opportunities to get back into the match, but Göteborg's defense held firm and kept them at bay.

In the 81st minute, Göteborg extended their lead to 2-0 after Rieks found the net again, this time assisted by a fine cross from Haitam Aleesami. Falkenberg mounted a strong late push to try to come back in the match, and in the 85th minute, they earned a penalty kick which Hakeem Araba confidently converted.

But that was all for Falkenberg, and Göteborg managed to hold on and take three crucial points at home. IFK Göteborg is now in third place in the table while Falkenberg continues to struggle in the lower half of the standings.
