IFK Norrköping FK secured an important victory on Saturday evening when they faced Malmö FF at Platinumcars Arena in front of an audience of 12,379. Malmö FF started strongly and took the lead after just 9 minutes through Simon Kroon. However, Norrköping fought their way back into the match, with Linus Wahlqvist Egnell equalizing for the home team in the 13th minute.

After a closely contested first half, where both teams created chances but failed to score, it became dramatic just before the break. IFK Norrköping was awarded a penalty in the third minute of stoppage time, and Emir Kujovic made no mistake, converting the penalty to give Norrköping a 2-1 lead just before halftime.
