Halmstads BK brought in Alexander Henningsson and Alexander Berntsson in an attempt to find a way back into the game, but it was not sufficient.

IF Elfsborg substituted Viktor Prodell and Lars Nilsson had the opportunity to come onto the pitch. The home team continued to push offensively and had several chances to extend their lead, but the Halmstads BK defense managed to hold firm.
