IFK Norrköping FK took a much-anticipated victory at Guldfågeln Arena when they faced Kalmar FF on Friday evening. Norrköping controlled the pace of the match and took the lead in the 43rd minute through Emmir Kujovic. Just before halftime, it was 2-0 for Norrköping when Alexander Fransson extended the lead after an assist from Arnor Traustason.

In the second half, Kalmar FF fought to make something happen and were awarded a penalty that Marcus Antonsson converted in the 68th minute. Although Kalmar managed to reduce the deficit, Norrköping remained the stronger team and held on for the victory. David Mitov Nilsson, who replaced the injured Ismaila Sarr in goal, saved several dangerous shots from the home team.

The match was intense, resulting in several warnings and substitutions. IFK Norrköping FK's Nicklas Bärkroth was substituted in the 76th minute for Alhaji Kamara. Kamara had a good opportunity to increase the lead in the 80th minute, but his shot went over the goal.
