It was an intense match at Swedbank Stadion as Malmö FF hosted IF Elfsborg in the Allsvenskan on Saturday afternoon. The attendance was high with 18,685 spectators present, and referee Stefan Johannesson kept everyone on their toes with his strict officiating and several cautions.

It was IF Elfsborg who took the lead after just 22 minutes when Adam Lundqvist found the net behind Malmö FF's goalkeeper. Viktor Claesson received an early yellow card for Elfsborg, and Markus Rosenberg as well as Kari Arnason were also cautioned for Malmö FF.

However, Malmö FF fought hard to come back, and it was Enock Kofi Adu who equalized for the home team with a fine pass from Nikola Djurdjic after 52 minutes.
