Hammarby started the game strong and took the lead after just 16 minutes when Jakob Orlov scored with a header following a nice pass from Birkir Mar Saevarsson.

Örebro's Erik Moberg received a yellow card after 20 minutes, but his team managed to get back into the game. After 23 minutes, Pär Eriksson equalized for Örebro with a header after a fine assist from Astrit Ajdarevic. Just ten minutes later, it was Ajdarevic himself who scored after a great combination with Daniel Björnkvist, giving Örebro a 2-1 lead.
