AIK won a priceless victory against Malmö FF at the National Arena, Friends Arena, when they defeated their opponents 2-1 in Sunday’s Allsvenskan match. It was an intense match that offered many chances from both teams.

AIK took the lead after just 12 minutes when Henok Goitom managed to put the ball in the net from a perfect pass by Johan Blomberg. Malmö FF struggled to recover, but AIK held firm in defense and thwarted all their attacks.

Just when it seemed like the halftime score would remain unchanged, Malmö FF showed their fighting spirit when Vladimir Rodic equalized in stoppage time. Victor Yoshimar Yotun Flores provided the assist.

AIK continued to push in the second half, and their patience paid off after 61 minutes when Stefan Ishizaki scored behind Malmö FF’s goalkeeper. The match was now very even, and both teams fought hard to create more scoring opportunities.

After 70 minutes, Malmö FF’s Vladimir Rodic was substituted for Erdal Rakip, but that did not help in the search for an equalizer. Malmö FF’s frustration began to take over, leading to a series of yellow cards, including a second yellow for Rasmus Bengtsson, who was consequently sent off.

AIK had a few good chances to extend their lead when Malmö FF was down a man, but they could not convert those opportunities into goals. The match ended 2-1 in favor of AIK, a victory that created a small gap between the teams in the standings. AIK is now in third place, while Malmö FF sits in fifth place.
