IF Elfsborg and IFK Norrköping FK faced each other on Monday evening at Borås Arena in front of a crowd of 8,810 spectators. The match was a tough battle between two of the leading teams in Allsvenskan.
IFK Norrköping FK took an early lead when Alhaji Kamara headed the ball in after a pass from Arnor Traustason in the 12th minute. However, IF Elfsborg quickly responded when Arber Zeneli scored in the 16th minute, equalizing at 1-1.
In the 21st minute, IF Elfsborg took the lead through Viktor Claesson, who scored after a nice pass from Zeneli. IF Elfsborg extended their lead in the 37th minute when Claesson converted a penalty into a goal.
During the second half, IFK Norrköping FK desperately tried to get back into the match. They narrowed the gap in the 77th minute when Kamara scored his second goal after an assist from Traustason. Despite several attempts from both teams, no more goals were scored, and the match ended 3-2 in favor of IF Elfsborg.
After the match, IF Elfsborg is in fourth place in the table, while IFK Norrköping FK remains at the top of the table. The referee, Markus Strömbergsson, and his assistants, Stefan Hallberg and Magnus Sjöblom, did an excellent job throughout the match.
