IFK Göteborg secured a well-deserved away victory against Falkenbergs FF. It was a close first half where both teams had opportunities to score, but it was IFK Göteborg that came out on top. After half an hour of play, two yellow cards were issued, first to Falkenberg's Hakeem Araba and then to IFK Göteborg's Gustav Engvall.

In the 39th minute, IFK Göteborg was awarded a penalty, which Mads Winther Albaek coolly converted into a goal, giving the guests the lead. Falkenberg tried to get back into the match, but it was IFK Göteborg that controlled the game.

In the second half, IFK Göteborg continued to dominate, and it didn't take long before Tobias Hysén doubled the lead to 2-0 with a goal assisted by Sebastian Eriksson. Falkenberg substituted Kamal Mustafa in hopes of changing the course of the match, but it didn't help.

IFK Göteborg then substituted Gustav Engvall for Mikael Boman in the 78th minute, and in the 79th minute, Falkenberg brought in Jesper Karlsson for Akseli Pevlas.

Falkenberg continued to try, but it was too late, and IFK Göteborg claimed a well-deserved victory. Before the final whistle, IFK Göteborg also substituted Tobias Hysén and Jakob Svarrer Ankersen for Victor Sköld and Mauricio Albornoz Inola. The final score was 0-2, and IFK Göteborg took home three important points from Falkenberg.
