On Thursday evening, there was a showcase at Bravida Arena when BK Häcken hosted the bottom team Gefle IF FF in the Allsvenskan. Gefle started strong and took the lead after four minutes when Johan Bertilsson scored off a rebound following a great free-kick save by Häcken's goalkeeper.

However, it was Häcken that took over the match and equalized after 32 minutes when Demba Savage scored from a well-executed corner situation. Just a few minutes later, it was time again as Savage elegantly headed in his second goal of the evening from a nice pass by Nasiru Mohammed.

In the second half, Häcken continued to press, and Rene Makondele Muzola made it 3-1 after a fine counterattack. Makondele Muzola would also make it 4-1 after 74 minutes when he skillfully redirected a pass from Kari Arkivuo.

The match then became a formality for Häcken, who made three substitutions and controlled the game. John Owoeri, however, managed to score two goals before the final whistle, the first from a free-kick and the second from a nice pass by Arkivuo.

The match ended 6-1 to Häcken, who thus took three important points in their fight to stay in the Allsvenskan. Gefle then returned to Gävle without any points and remains second to last in the table.
