IF Elfsborg and Djurgården met on Thursday evening at Borås Arena in front of an audience of 6,402. The match was officiated by Bojan Pandzic, with assistance from Stefan Hallberg and Joakim Amri Nilsson.

The match started off physically, and both IF Elfsborg and Djurgården received warnings. In the 36th minute, Lars Nilsson scored 1-0 for the home team after a nice pass from Simon Hedlund. Just seven minutes later, Viktor Claesson doubled the lead after once again receiving a pass from Hedlund.

In the second half, IF Elfsborg's Anders Degn Randrup was substituted for Jon Jönsson, while Djurgården's Stefan Karlsson was replaced by Michael Olunga. IF Elfsborg continued to control the match, and in the 66th minute, Viktor Prodell headed in a third goal after an assist from Claesson.

Djurgården desperately tried to get back into the game, substituting Daniel Mikal Aas Berntsen for Philana Tinotenda Kadewere in the 72nd minute. IF Elfsborg then substituted Simon Lundevall for Emir Bajrami in the 77th minute, and Djurgården replaced Mathias Ranégie with Seon Min Moon. They also had a chance for a consolation goal when Jon Jönsson received a warning in the 83rd minute.

The match ended 3-0 in favor of IF Elfsborg, who move up to 12th place in the table, while Djurgården remains in 7th place. A vital victory for IF Elfsborg as they continue to fight to rise in the standings.
