It was a tough afternoon for the home team Östersunds FK when they faced league leaders Malmö FF on Saturday. Malmö FF started the match strong, and already in the third minute, Markus Rosenberg scored to make it 0-1 after an assist from Magnus Wolff Eikrem. Six minutes later, it was time again as Vidar Örn Kjartansson extended the lead to 0-2, also assisted by Eikrem.
The second half began better for Östersunds FK, and in the 63rd minute, Alex Dyer reduced the deficit to 1-2 with a header from a rebound after a free kick, assisted by Ronald Mukiibi. But the joy was short-lived, as in the 65th minute, Kjartansson scored his second goal of the day, increasing Malmö’s lead to 1-3.
The match continued with several substitutions on both sides and a few yellow cards for Malmö FF. However, it was Malmö FF that finished the match in style when Kjartansson scored his third goal of the day late in injury time, assisted by Mattias Svanberg.
The match ended 1-4 in favor of Malmö FF, which means they continue to lead the table while Östersunds FK stays in tenth place.
