IF Elfsborg and IFK Göteborg faced off at Borås Arena in an exciting Allsvenskan match in front of an audience of 13,372 spectators. Referee Kristoffer Karlsson officiated, assisted by Joakim Amri Nilsson and Magnus Sjöblom.
The game was evenly matched from the start, with both teams trying to take the initiative. In the 24th minute, Adam Lundqvist of Elfsborg received a yellow card for a tough tackle on an opponent. Shortly after, in the 30th minute, Emil Salomonsson and Haitam Aleesami received yellow cards for IFK Göteborg for harsh challenges.
