Gefle IF FF hosted Kalmar FF at home in front of a crowd of 2,409 spectators at Gavlevallen in Allsvenskan. The match started well for the home team, and just seven minutes into the game, Johan Oremo scored the opening goal to make it 1-0, with Johan Bertilsson providing the assist. Gefle IF FF continued to dominate and after sixteen minutes, Johan Bertilsson himself increased the lead to 2-0.
However, Kalmar FF managed to come back into the match, and after half an hour of play, Romario Pereira Sipiao reduced the deficit to 2-1 with an assist from Viktor Agardius. Just ten minutes later, Ismael Silva Lima equalized to 2-2 after a nice pass from Romario Pereira Sipiao.
The second half started evenly, and both teams had chances to take the lead. Gefle IF FF eventually got a headed opportunity, and Jacob Hjelte scored to make it 3-2 with an assist from Johan Bertilsson after 79 minutes of play. Kalmar FF desperately tried to equalize again, but it was instead Gefle IF FF who sealed the match when Simon Skrabb scored to make it 4-2 with two minutes left in the game. Kwame Bonsu provided the assist.
After the match, Gefle IF FF found themselves at the bottom of the table while Kalmar FF was in 12th place. Referee Bojan Pandzic had a relatively quiet match and issued one yellow card to each team. Gefle IF FF substituted in Jacob Hjelte and Jacob Ericsson, while Kalmar FF brought in Sebastian Hedlund, Lumala Abdu, and Måns Söderqvist. Svante Ingelsson and David Elm were substituted out.
