On a rainy Saturday afternoon, Gefle IF FF faced Hammarby at Gavlevallen in front of an audience of 5,884 people. Gefle was at the bottom of the table and needed to win to improve their situation. Hammarby was in 14th place and also needed a victory.

Hammarby proved to be the better team from the start, and just 12 minutes in, they scored the first goal of the match through Philip Haglund, assisted by Kennedy Bakircioglu. Gefle attempted to respond but struggled to create any truly dangerous chances.

After 23 minutes, Johan Oremo from Gefle received a yellow card, and ten minutes later, Kennedy Bakircioglu scored Hammarby's second goal from a penalty. Andreas Andersson from Gefle also received a yellow card in connection with the goal.

Hammarby continued to play well, and in the second half, they brought in Amadaiya Rennie to further strengthen the team. Gefle tried to find their way back into the match but had difficulty applying any real pressure on Hammarby's defense.

Jens Portin from Gefle received a yellow card after 64 minutes, and later in the match, Gefle substituted in both Jacob Ericsson and Jacob Hjelte in an attempt to create more offense. But Hammarby's defense held firm, and the match ended with a convincing 0-2 victory for the away team.

Referee Stefan Johannesson and his assistant referees Per Brogevik and Jan-Erik Swärdh had a good match and maintained control of the game without any issues. Hammarby can celebrate three points while Gefle must continue to fight to climb up from the bottom of the table.
