This Sunday, Hammarby and IF Elfsborg faced off at Tele2 Arena in front of an impressive crowd of 21,299 spectators. Martin Strömbergsson was the referee, assisted by Daniel Gustavsson and Joakim Amri Nilsson as assistant referees.

The match started at a high tempo, and just five minutes in, IF Elfsborg scored their first goal through Viktor Claesson, assisted by Simon Lundevall. Elfsborg continued to dominate, with Per Frick adding two quick goals in the 17th and 26th minutes, both assisted by Claesson and Lundevall. Hammarby tried to rally, but after half an hour, Elfsborg clearly had the upper hand.

During the first half, Hammarby pressed hard against Elfsborg, and Alexssander Medeiros De Azeredo received a warning from Martin Strömbergsson. At halftime, Philip Haglund was substituted for Pa Amat Dibba, and Alexssander Medeiros De Azeredo was replaced by Fredrik Torsteinbö.

The second half began with Hammarby showing great determination to make a comeback. Pa Amat Dibba, assisted by Stefan Batan, quickly reduced the deficit in the 51st minute. After that, Elfsborg started to lose momentum, with a couple of warnings issued to Simon Lundevall and Per Frick.

Mats Goberg Solheim scored with a header in the 62nd minute, giving Hammarby hope and energy to keep fighting. Joakim Nilsson came in for Rami Kaib in the 68th minute, and Viktor Prodell was substituted for Per Frick in the 75th minute, but it did not change the outcome of the match.

Erik Israelsson received a warning in the 77th minute for Hammarby, and Joakim Nilsson was cautioned in the 89th minute for Elfsborg. The tension remained in the match, and in the very last minutes, Issam Jebali, assisted by Simon Lundevall, scored the decisive goal for Elfsborg. The match ultimately ended 4-2 in favor of Elfsborg, who secured a well-deserved away victory.
