Falkenbergs FF attempted to get back into the match but failed to create enough dangerous scoring opportunities. Falkenbergs FF also received several warnings, including a second yellow card for Hakeem Araba, who had recently been substituted in.

Malmö FF held on to their lead and substituted players to conserve energy for the remainder of the season. Falkenbergs FF also tried to make substitutions in an attempt to inject new energy but could not turn the match around.
