AIK secured an important victory in a well-played match against BK Häcken at Friends Arena. After a closely contested first half with chances on both sides, it was AIK that took the lead in the 23rd minute through Sauli Väisänen, who headed the ball in after a nice pass from Chinedu Ogbuke Obasi. However, BK Häcken equalized just before halftime when John Owoeri scored after excellent work by Rasmus Schüller.

The second half featured several nail-biting moments as both teams fought fiercely for the lead. Ultimately, it was AIK that managed to score the decisive goal with only ten minutes left in the match. Eero Markkanen, who had recently been substituted in, put the ball in the net with a great assist from Stefan Ishizaki, sending the home crowd into a frenzy of joy.

BK Häcken attempted to push for an equalizer, but AIK held firm and claimed a crucial victory in the battle for the top two positions in the Allsvenskan. The attendance at Friends Arena was 8,507, and referee Jonas Eriksson along with his assistant referees Daniel Wärnmark and Mathias Klasenius had full control of the match throughout the entire ninety minutes. With this victory, AIK now sits in 2nd place in the table, while BK Häcken occupies 10th place.
