Östersund achieved a convincing away victory against Athletic Eskilstuna at Tunavallen in this evening's Allsvenskan match. Just two minutes into the game, Curtis Edwards scored the opening goal for Östersund, following a nice pass from Saman Ghoddos. The home team struggled to create any dangerous scoring opportunities during the first half, and Östersund's Jamie Ryan Hopcutt increased the lead to 0-2 in the 32nd minute. Curtis Edwards then added another goal to his tally, making it 0-3 for Östersund in the 35th minute.

Athletic Eskilstuna could not recover from the early setback but managed to score a consolation goal in the 52nd minute through Simon Alexandersson, who blasted the ball in from the penalty area. Östersund brought on Tim Björkström and Tom Pettersson, while Athletic substituted in Amadou Kalabane and Dawda Sowe in an attempt to get back into the match. Sasa Matic came on for the home team in the 77th minute, but it was too late for Eskilstuna, who lost the match 1-3.

It was a tough match in which referee Magnus Lindgren issued several yellow cards. Saman Ghoddos and Sotirios Papagiannopoulos received cautions for Östersund, which had an advantage in tough tackles. Anel Rashkaj and Ludvig Öhman Silwerfeldt also received yellow cards for Athletic Eskilstuna.

A truly unnecessary situation arose for Athletic Eskilstuna when Mohamed Buya Turay received his second yellow card in the 90th minute after a clear warning for an intense discussion with the referees from the bench. The asthmatic Turay will now miss the next match against IFK Göteborg.
