It was a tight and even encounter between Athletic Eskilstuna and BK Häcken at Tunavallen. Both teams tried to establish their game right from the kickoff, but it wasn't until the 37th minute that the first card of the match was issued. Athletic Eskilstuna's Anel Rashkaj received a yellow card after a tough duel.

In the closing minutes of the first half, BK Häcken attempted to take the initiative with a substitution, as Egzon Binaku was replaced by Paulo José De Oliveira. However, despite several dangerous chances for both teams, the score remained 0-0 at halftime.

At the beginning of the second half, the match got a bit out of hand, leading to several hard tackles in midfield. This also resulted in Athletic Eskilstuna's Sasa Matic receiving a warning in the 50th minute.

In the 65th minute, something extremely unusual happened – the sending-off of a goalkeeper coach. BK Häcken's Mats Johansson was deemed to have behaved aggressively and loudly, and was therefore required to leave the bench and the stadium.

After the dismissal, Athletic Eskilstuna began to push harder for a victory, and the substitutions of Dawda Sowe and Emmanuel Yaw Frimpong brought further energy to the team. However, despite several heated goal-scoring opportunities, they were unable to outsmart BK Häcken's goalkeeper Peter Abrahamsson.

The match concluded with a yellow card for Paulo José De Oliveira in the 82nd minute, and the final score was thus 0-0. The attendance was recorded at 1,895 people, and referee Markus Strömbergsson kept a good control of the match with the support of assistants Mahbod Beigi and Johan Thalin.
