IFK Göteborg convincingly triumphed during their visit to Idrottsparken for the match against GIF Sundsvall in Allsvenskan. Just half an hour into the game, the away team took the lead through Tobias Hysén, who headed in a perfect cross from Emil Salomonsson.
Only two minutes later, IFK Göteborg was awarded a penalty, which Emil Salomonsson confidently converted into a goal. Despite the humiliation, only GIF Sundsvall's Marcus Danielson received a warning, as the other home players seemed shocked and out of form.
Before the halftime break, Tobias Hysén once again demonstrated his excellent form by scoring his second goal of the match, making it 0-3 for IFK Göteborg.
GIF Sundsvall attempted to break through IFK Göteborg's defense, but to no avail. In the 64th minute, Dennis Olsson was substituted for Kristinn Freyr Sigurdsson. However, this change had little effect, and Tomasson's side remained firmly anchored in their own half.
IFK Göteborg, however, were not satisfied with just winning the match and continued to hunt for more goals. In the 86th minute, Mads Winther Albaek struck again, increasing the lead to 0-4, which also became the final score.
In summary, IFK Göteborg showed strength in the away match and can continue their ascent in the table. GIF Sundsvall, on the other hand, has some reflection to do before heading to Kalmar on Monday for the next round.
