The home team continued to try to score but received two yellow cards in the first half, for Stian Semb Aasmundsen and Stefan Karlsson, which dampened their play.

Örebro took advantage of this and managed to equalize in the 39th minute. Nordin Gerzic scored from a free kick that surprised the goalkeeper and found its way into the net. After halftime, both teams continued to fight hard, with Erik Ayuk coming on for Jönköping while Maic Sema and Michael Junior Omoh were substituted for Örebro.

In the 73rd minute, Filip Rogic scored with a header, giving Örebro the lead with a nice assist from Nahir Besara. Jönköping desperately tried to equalize but failed to do so. Örebro secured the victory with a score of 2-1, and Victor Sköld and Petteri Forsell were substituted in late to help maintain the lead.

Referee Glenn Nyberg had a calm and controlled match, assisted by Niclas Ivarsson and Per Rehnlund. 3,152 spectators at Stadsparksvallen witnessed the match in Allsvenskan on Sunday evening.
