Match in Allsvenskan 2017
Match start: 2017-08-19 at 16:00
Venue: Tunavallen
Attendance: 3,115

It was a sunny afternoon at Tunavallen when Athletic Eskilstuna hosted Malmö FF in the Allsvenskan. In front of a crowd of 3,115, referee Stefan Johannesson kicked off the match at 4:00 PM on Saturday, August 19th.

Already after five minutes of play, the home team scored the first goal when Mohamed Buya Turay headed in the ball after a fine pass from Daniel Björnkvist. However, Turay did not celebrate his goal for long before receiving a yellow card for a reckless tackle.

Athletic Eskilstuna continued to dominate, and after fifteen minutes, Omar Eddahri increased the lead to 2-0. Malmö FF struggled to create any dangerous chances and decided to bring on Behrang Safari after 28 minutes of play in an attempt to turn the match around.

But it didn't help. Just a few minutes later, Athletic Eskilstuna extended their lead to 3-0 with another header from the Turkish-Sierra Leonean star Mohamed Buya Turay, this time assisted by Andrew Fox.

Malmö FF finally saw a glimmer of hope when Jo Inge Berget scored a penalty in the 59th minute, reducing the score to 3-1. However, despite several substitutions and a high tempo, Malmö FF was unable to turn the game around. Instead, Anders Bleg Christiansen received a booking, and Athletic Eskilstuna's coach opted to substitute Ferid Ali for Andrew Fox.

Malmö FF tried to close the gap by bringing on Kingsley Kofi Sarfo for Andreas Aalen Vindheim, but Athletic Eskilstuna's defense held firm, and even though Anders Bleg Christiansen received another yellow card, the match ended 3-1 in favor of Athletic Eskilstuna. The home crowd could celebrate a well-deserved victory, and Mohamed Buya Turay could take pleasure in two goals and an assist.
