Kalmar FF proved to be too strong for IK Sirius FK, as the away team visited Guldfågeln Arena on Sunday. In a match that featured several goals and substitutions, it was Kalmar who came out on top, with the final score being 4 - 2.
Already in the seventh minute, the home team took the lead when Papa Alioune Diouf found the net after an assist from Erton Fejzullahu. Kalmar continued to dominate and just seven minutes later, Viktor Elm increased the lead with a headed goal, assisted by Emin Nouri.
However, IK Sirius did not seem to give up, and in the nineteenth minute, the team scored their first goal through Jesper Arvidsson after an assist from Niklas Thor. But Kalmar quickly responded to the challenge, and in the second half, they continued to dominate. Herman Hallberg scored in the 52nd minute after an assist from Viktor Agardius, and just two minutes later, it was a goal again as Erton Fejzullahu netted the team's fourth goal with an assist from Jonathan Ring.
IK Sirius tried to get back into the match, and with a quarter of an hour left, Niklas Thor scored his second goal of the day with help from Kim Skoglund. But Kalmar held their ground and secured a convincing victory.
Both teams made several substitutions, but it was Kalmar who had the most effective rotation, while IK Sirius struggled to do the same. Three yellow cards were issued, two to IK Sirius and one to Kalmar.
The victory allows Kalmar FF to move up from the bottom and take twelfth place in the table, while IK Sirius FK remains in fifth place despite the loss.
