On a sunny Sunday afternoon at Studenternas arena in Uppsala, 5,112 spectators prepared for the match between IK Sirius FK and Östersund in the Allsvenskan. Referee Patrik Eriksson blew the whistle to start the match, and just four minutes in, Östersund's Ken Sema scored to make it 0-1 after a nice pass from Aly Keita. Sirius tried to apply pressure, but Östersund was strong and had several dangerous attacks. In the 32nd minute, Saman Ghoddos scored with a header after a fine pass from Ken Sema, and just two minutes later, Saman Ghoddos scored a penalty after Sirius made a questionable tackle in the penalty area. Before halftime, Oscar Kindlund made his debut for Sirius when he was substituted in for Shkodran Maholli.

The second half did not improve for the home team. Just one minute into the half, Östersund's assistant coach Björn Hamberg was sent off from the bench. Sirius brought on Elias Andersson and Sam Lundholm, but it didn’t help. In the 69th minute, Saman Ghoddos was substituted for Alhaji Gero, and shortly thereafter, Johan Bertilsson made it 0-4 for Östersund after a pass from Ken Sema. Ken Sema was substituted for Ronald Mukiibi in the 72nd minute, and Fouad Bachirou was substituted for Jamie Ryan Hopcutt in the 76th minute. Ian Sirelius from Sirius received a yellow card in the 79th minute, and in the 86th minute, Johan Bertilsson scored his second goal after a nice pass from Curtis Edwards. The match ended 0-5 in favor of Östersund, who were clearly the better team on this day.
