Friends Arena was packed as AIK faced IF Elfsborg in the tenth round of Allsvenskan. The match started with a high tempo, and AIK was the dominating team. After 15 minutes of play, Johan Blomberg scored a nice header, giving AIK a 1-0 lead. IF Elfsborg tried to respond, but AIK held firm defensively and created several dangerous chances. Nicolas Stefanelli doubled AIK's lead to 2-0 with a great pass from Henok Goitom in the 31st minute.
IF Elfsborg did not give up, and Per Frick scored with a header in the 34th minute after a good setup from Simon Lundevall. However, AIK wanted to win, and just before halftime, Haukur Hauksson made it 3-1 after a nice pass from Kristoffer Olsson.
IF Elfsborg continued to fight and reduced the score to 3-2 at the beginning of the second half with a goal from Daniel Gustafsson. But AIK wanted more. Nicolas Stefanelli scored his second goal of the match after a pass from Rasmus Lindkvist, increasing the lead to 4-2 in the 55th minute. Stefanelli was on fire in the game and then grabbed his third goal when he found the net in the 64th minute after a pass from Henok Goitom.
AIK had full control of the match and kept IF Elfsborg far from their goal. The match ended with a dominant victory for AIK, winning 5-2. After the match, AIK is now in third place in the table, while IF Elfsborg sits in eleventh place.
