IFK Norrköping FK earned a well-deserved victory over Hammarby at Tele2 Arena in Stockholm during Sunday’s Allsvenskan match. After just seven minutes of play, the visitors took the lead with a goal from Alexander Jakobsen. He received the ball from Gudmundur Thorarinsson, who was also involved in the second goal during the match. It wasn’t until the 34th minute that IFK Norrköping FK scored their second goal, extending their lead to 2-0. The scorer was former Hammarby player Gudmundur Thorarinsson, who received a fine pass from Alexander Jakobsen.

In the first half, Hammarby was unable to threaten IFK Norrköping FK’s goal and mostly just watched as the visitors controlled the match. In the second half, Hammarby showed more energy and tried to put pressure on IFK Norrköping FK, but were not effective enough to create any scoring opportunities. Instead, it was IFK Norrköping FK who came closest to extending their lead when Simon Skrabb had several good chances, but his shots either went wide of the goal or were saved by the Hammarby goalkeeper.

The atmosphere of the match became somewhat heated when Hammarby’s Oscar Krusnell and Pa Amat Dibba each received a yellow card for offenses against IFK Norrköping FK players. IFK Norrköping FK’s Daniel Sjölund was also cautioned by referee Stefan Johannesson.

Hammarby’s coach made two substitutions in the first half and another in the second, but it did not help the team get back into the match. IFK Norrköping FK also made three substitutions during the game, but none of the visitors needed to exert themselves significantly to secure the victory.

With their sixth loss in 24 matches, Hammarby remains in a disappointing ninth place in the Allsvenskan table, while IFK Norrköping FK sits in fourth place, just one point away from the top three.
