Örebro set the tone right from the start of the match and took the initiative early at Behrn Arena. Kalmar FF appeared caught off guard by Örebro's intense play and struggled to get into the game.

The match continued with high intensity from both teams. Kalmar FF held their ground and defended well, but in the 43rd minute, Örebro struck with a goal. Chibuike Kennedy Igboananike scored his first goal for Örebro by catching a rebound and tapping the ball into the net.

After the goal, Örebro continued to dominate the match. Kalmar FF substituted Stefan Larsson for Philip Hellqvist, but it didn't help much. Örebro maintained possession of the ball and created chances, while Kalmar FF had difficulty finding scoring opportunities.
