On the lovely Sunday afternoon of October 15th, AIK and Jönköpings Södra IF met at Friends Arena. With an attendance of 16,257 spectators and under the guidance of referee Andreas Ekberg, the teams kicked off the match.
However, it was not until the second half that the game really picked up, and it was AIK who managed to open the scoring after 49 minutes. Unfortunately for Jönköpings Södra IF, it came in the form of an own goal, which became the match's first and only goal so far.
After the goal, Jönköpings Södra IF stepped up and tried to find a way through AIK's defense, which led to a yellow card for Daryl Smylie after a hard tackle. Shortly thereafter, Jönköpings Södra IF chose to make their first substitution of the match, as Alexander Jallow left the field for Stefan Karlsson.
AIK also decided to make a substitution, with Nicolas Stefanelli leaving the field for Chinedu Ogbuke Obasi. This substitution did not prove to be the most effective as AIK held firm in their lead.

Finally, AIK managed to score their second and decisive goal in the 85th minute through Nils-Eric Johansson, assisted by Henok Goitom. Jönköpings Södra IF fought until the very end but were unable to find the net, and thus the match ended 2-0 in favor of AIK.
