Östersund welcomed IF Elfsborg to Jämtkraft Arena in an important Allsvenskan match on Saturday afternoon in front of just over 5000 spectators. The crowd would quickly be thrilled by a dazzling performance from ÖFK.

In the 29th minute, the home team took the lead after a rebound from the goalkeeper. Sotirios Papagiannopoulos was quickest to the ball and slid it in for a 1-0 lead for Östersund. Just a minute later, Östersund extended their lead through Fouad Bachirou, who struck a perfectly placed shot from 20 meters that sailed into the far corner.

IF Elfsborg substituted in Emir Bajrami in search of a consolation goal, but it was Östersund that increased their lead instead. In stoppage time of the first half, Dennis Widgren found a perfect pass to Saman Ghoddos, who rounded the goalkeeper and easily placed the ball into the net for a 3-0 halftime lead.

At the beginning of the second half, Östersund was awarded a penalty after Brwa Hekmat Nouri was brought down in the penalty area. Hekmat Nouri took the penalty himself and calmly placed it in the goal for a 4-0 lead.

IF Elfsborg brought in Jesper Karlsson in their quest for a consolation goal, but it was Viktor Prodell who took matters into his own hands, reducing the score to 4-1 in stoppage time after a nice pass from Karlsson.

The match ended with a caution for Dennis Widgren of Östersund and Jørgen Horn of IF Elfsborg. Östersund had complete control of the match and won convincingly with a score of 4-1. With the victory, Östersund remains in fourth place in the table, while IF Elfsborg stays in seventh place.
