The National Arena, Friends Arena, was filled to the brim as AIK and Dalkurd faced each other in an exciting match in Allsvenskan. The match between the two teams at opposite ends of the table felt like a tough contest for both sides.
AIK's Henok Goitom received a yellow card in the 28th minute after a tough duel. But just five minutes later, Robert Lundström scored AIK's first goal of the match following a fine assist from Nicolas Stefanelli. Lundström fired from the penalty area, and the ball flew into the net.
AIK's Lundström himself received a yellow card in the 33rd minute for a harsh tackle on a Dalkurd player. However, that did not stop him from continuing to push forward.
Dalkurd tried to create chances but struggled to find the right opportunities. At halftime, Dalkurd's Alexander Ray De John was substituted for Heradi Rashidi, who would try to lead the team forward in the second half.
In the second half, AIK made a substitution as well. Nabil Bahoui came on for Nicolas Stefanelli in the 65th minute. Two minutes later, Dalkurd made a substitution as Johan Bertilsson came on for Oliver Berg. AIK did not let their lead intimidate them and continued to push, resulting in several dangerous chances.
In the 71st minute, AIK's Ahmed Yasin was substituted for Anton Salétros. However, shortly after, AIK's Enock Kofi Adu received a yellow card.
Dalkurd desperately tried to find an equalizer to avoid another defeat but to no avail. In the 83rd minute, Rawez Lawan was substituted for Andrew Michael Stadler in one last attempt to turn the match around.
But it was AIK who would decide the match. In the second minute of stoppage time, Anton Salétros scored AIK's second goal of the match. Salétros received the ball from another AIK player and perfectly slotted it into the net.
Dalkurd fought as hard as they could, but it wasn’t enough. In the end, AIK won the match 2-0 and secured a solid spot in third place in the table. Dalkurd, on the other hand, remains at the bottom. Referee Andreas Ekberg, along with Mehmet Culum and Stefan Hallberg, had a relatively calm match, which concluded without any serious injuries or scandals.
