GIF Sundsvall continued their good form with a home victory against IF Elfsborg in the 7th round of the Allsvenskan. After a relatively even start, Sundsvall took the lead in the 7th minute with a nice penalty from Romain Gall following a handball in the Elfsborg defense.

However, Elfsborg fought their way back into the match and equalized with a penalty in the 51st minute through Issam Jebali. But just three minutes later, Sundsvall regained the lead with another goal from Gall, this time after a lovely assist from David Batanero Puigbó.

Elfsborg pushed for a late equalizer and made several attacking attempts, but Sundsvall's defense held firm, and the match ended 2-1 in favor of the home team. A total of 3,278 spectators watched the match, which was officiated by Magnus Lindgren with assistance from Peter Allheim and Johan Thalin. Sundsvall thus maintains its top position in the league table, while Elfsborg extended their losing streak to three consecutive matches.
