Östersund delivered a strong performance as they defeated GIF Sundsvall 3-2 at NP3 Arena on Saturday afternoon.

Just nine minutes into the match, the visiting Östersund took the lead with a goal from Curtis Edwards, following a nice pass from Hosam Aiesh. Sundsvall fought to get back into the game but instead saw the away team extend their lead to 2-0, with Aiesh heading in a cross from Douglas Bergqvist.

However, Sundsvall refused to give up and reduced the deficit to 2-1 through Linus Hallenius, who received a fine assist from David Batanero Puigbó.

In the second half, Östersund once again extended their lead with Saman Ghoddos, who also received an assist from Edwards. Sundsvall continued to fight, and Hallenius scored his second goal of the day after a great pass from Juho Pirttijoki.

Despite the home team's determination, they could not turn the match around, and Östersund managed to take three points back home to Jämtland. GIF Sundsvall, however, will have the chance for revenge in the future.
