It was a brilliant day when Hammarby and AIK met on Sunday afternoon at Tele2 Arena in front of a full house of 29,266 spectators. The referee Andreas Ekberg was present and was assisted by Mehmet Culum and Stefan Hallberg.
The match started evenly as both teams fought hard for control of the game. It was AIK who received the first yellow card when Alexander Milošević was cautioned by the referee after 39 minutes.
The second half continued in the same fashion as the first half. Hammarby substituted Vivaldo Borges dos Santos Neto for Simon Sandberg in the 76th minute, while AIK brought on Anton Salétros for Nabil Bahoui in the 72nd minute.
AIK took the lead towards the end of the match when Tarik Elyounoussi scored a penalty in the 80th minute to make it 0-1. Hammarby tried to fight their way back into the game but never made any significant progress.
Hammarby made several last-minute substitutions, including Imad Khalili for Muamer Tankovic and Sander Svendsen for Pa Amat Dibba, but could not equalize. AIK substituted Ahmed Yasin for Daniel Sundgren in the 82nd minute and later replaced the match's goalscorer Tarik Elyounoussi with Denni Avdic in the 86th minute.
The match ended with a 0-1 victory for AIK, who had a firm grip on the game throughout. Ahmed Yasin received a late yellow card in the 90th minute.
