Djurgården secured an important victory in Sunday's match against Kalmar FF at Guldfågeln Arena. Already in the fourth minute, the away team took the lead through Jonathan Augustinsson, who received a nice pass from Haris Radetinac and was able to easily place the ball behind Kalmar's goalkeeper. After the goal, it was mostly Djurgården who dictated the game and created several dangerous scoring chances, while Kalmar struggled to establish any real pressure going forward.
In the second half, Kalmar made two substitutions in hopes of being more threatening offensively, but Djurgården maintained their position and defended the lead well. The away team also brought in Kevin Walker in the 68th minute, which provided new strength and energy.
Kalmar desperately tried to equalize towards the end of the match and received a warning when Viktor Elm picked up a yellow card in the sixth minute of stoppage time. However, Djurgården held on and was ultimately able to celebrate an important away victory with the final score of 0-1. The crowd at Guldfågeln Arena seemed disappointed after the match, but for Djurgården, it was a necessary win to continue having a chance to challenge at the top of the table.
