GIF Sundsvall achieved a convincing victory against Trelleborgs FF at Vångavallen in the Allsvenskan on Monday evening. Despite an early equalizer from the home team, the guests took control of the match and ultimately won 6-1 in front of an audience of 1,658 people.

GIF Sundsvall started brightly and took the lead just five minutes into the match through Jonathan Syberg Tamimi, assisted by Peter Wilson. However, Trelleborgs FF responded strongly, and Marcus Pode equalized to make it 1-1 just two minutes later, assisted by Zoran Jovanovic.

But that would turn out to be Trelleborg's only goal of the evening. GIF Sundsvall regained the lead after 13 minutes with a goal from Peter Wilson, who scored with a header from a corner taken by Jonathan Syberg Tamimi. Linus Hallenius then scored his first goal of the evening in the 40th minute, assisted by Maic Sema.

At halftime, Trelleborgs FF made a substitution, bringing on Salif Camara Jönsson. However, it did not help against GIF Sundsvall’s superior play. In the 67th minute, Linus Hallenius extended the lead to 1-4, again assisted by Jonathan Syberg Tamimi.

Just four minutes later, Hallenius scored his third goal of the evening, giving GIF Sundsvall their biggest lead so far – 5-1. David Batanero Puigbó provided the assist. Trelleborgs FF then substituted Freddie Brorsson for Marcus Pode, while GIF Sundsvall made three quick substitutions.

Salif Camara Jönsson was sent off for Trelleborgs FF in the 81st minute. Maic Sema then set the final score at 6-1 in the 91st minute for GIF Sundsvall.

After the match, Trelleborgs FF found themselves second-to-last in the table with one point from 18 matches, while GIF Sundsvall occupied 7th place.
