AIK took a convincing 2-0 victory away against IFK Göteborg at Gamla Ullevi on Thursday evening. Just over 12,000 people were in attendance, and referee Martin Strömbergsson was ready to get the match underway.

It was AIK that got off to a dream start. After 24 minutes, Tarik Elyounoussi intercepted a pass from Sebastian Larsson and easily put the ball in the net to give the away team a 1-0 lead. Göteborg tried to create chances to equalize, but they were unable to find the back of the net.

In the second half, Göteborg continued to push forward, but AIK held firm. After 68 minutes, Göteborg made two substitutions, but they did not yield any results either. Instead, it was AIK who were the more threatening side going forward. In the 83rd minute, Tarik Elyounoussi was substituted for Denni Avdic, and just a few minutes later, Henok Goitom scored with a header.

The match ended 2-0 in favor of AIK, and the team continues to lead the Allsvenskan. IFK Göteborg remains in 12th place on the table and will continue to chase points in the matches ahead.
