Saturday afternoon offered a truly exciting football match at Eleda Stadion between Malmö FF and Hammarby. In front of an audience of 19,125, Hammarby displayed very strong play and took the lead already in the 28th minute with a well-executed penalty goal by Jiloan Mohamed Hamad.

Malmö FF created several chances but struggled to get past Hammarby's defense. Just before halftime, Behrang Safari received a yellow card, which would not be his last for the day.

In the second half, it was Malmö FF that took control of the game, and Marcus Antonsson equalized to 1-1 after a nice assist from Eric Larsson. Markus Rosenberg then became the match hero when he scored 2-1 for Malmö FF in the 57th minute, assisted by Antonsson.

Hammarby continued to fight to come back but never found the equalizer, and the match ended 2-1 in favor of Malmö FF. Both Bjørn Paulsen and Jeppe Andrup Andersen from Hammarby received yellow cards during the match. All three substitutions were made in the 68th minute when Vivaldo Borges dos Santos Neto and Leo Bengtsson came on for Hammarby, while Bonke Innocent was brought on for Malmö FF.

In the 79th minute, Jeppe Andrup Andersen received a yellow card. Malmö FF made two substitutions at the end of the match as Carlos Strandberg and Hugo Andersson replaced Marcus Antonsson and Behrang Safari. Kennedy Bakircioglu came on for Hammarby in the 84th minute, replacing Jiloan Mohamed Hamad.

With this victory, Malmö FF secures an important win and moves up to third place in the standings. Hammarby holds on to their second place, but now sees Östersund coming closer in the table. Referee Kristoffer Karlsson had good control of the match with the help of his assistant referees Magnus Sjöblom and Fredrik Nilsson.
