It was an exciting and intense match between IFK Göteborg and GIF Sundsvall at Gamla Ullevi. Despite having home advantage, IFK Göteborg failed to secure any points, as Sundsvall won 2-1.

Already in the 5th minute, GIF Sundsvall got off to a dream start when Linus Hallenius scored. The assist came from Jonathan Syberg Tamimi, and Sundsvall took an early lead of 1-0. Despite several dangerous goal chances from IFK Göteborg during the first half, they could not equalize, and instead, Sundsvall had an eventful match in front of them.

In the 17th minute, Sundsvall extended their lead. Once again, it was Hallenius who found the net, and Göteborg now faced a tough task to get back into the game. GIF Sundsvall showed strong defense and held off Göteborg's attacks.

In the 39th minute, IFK Göteborg made their first substitution as Sargon Abraham replaced Robin Söder. The substitution brought a slight change to the game, but Göteborg's attacks failed to yield results.

Shortly after, in the 87th minute, IFK Göteborg had the chance to reduce the deficit when Giorgi Kharaishvili converted a penalty after a foul was committed by GIF Sundsvall. The goal gave IFK Göteborg new hope, and they continued to press towards Sundsvall's goal.

GIF Sundsvall's Pol Moreno Sanchez was also cautioned in the 87th minute, and a tough and physical game was ongoing.

In the 89th minute, Sundsvall made their final substitution as Oliver Berg came on for David Haro Iniesta. This player change would prove successful, as Sundsvall held on and secured the narrow lead.

During stoppage time, in the 90th minute, William Eskelinen from Sundsvall received a warning, and the play continued to be intense.

IFK Göteborg desperately tried to equalize, but GIF Sundsvall managed to maintain their position and take home three points from Gamla Ullevi.

With this result, IFK Göteborg remains in 12th place in the standings, while GIF Sundsvall climbs to 6th, one spot higher than their previous position. It was an entertaining match with a lot of struggle and intensity, which added to the evening at Gamla Ullevi for the over 6000 spectators.
