Hammarby won away against GIF Sundsvall in an exciting match that ended 2-3. Already in the 13th minute, Hammarby took the lead through Mads Fenger Nielsen, who scored after a nice pass. In the 34th minute, Imad Khalili extended Hammarby's lead to 0-2 with a well-placed shot, assisted by Nikola Djurdjic. Djurdjic also contributed to Hammarby’s third goal in the match, as he scored himself in the 52nd minute after a fine assist from Vivaldo Borges dos Santos Neto.
But GIF Sundsvall was not about to give up, reducing the score to 1-3 shortly after with a penalty converted by Linus Hallenius. Just a minute later, Hallenius scored his second goal of the evening, further narrowing it to 2-3 with an assist from Dennis Olsson.
Hammarby received a warning in the 55th minute through Nikola Djurdjic, and Sundsvall continued to fight for an equalizer. However, despite several attempts, they could not find the back of the net again.
