Match in Allsvenskan 2019
Match start: 2019-04-14 at 17:30

Attendance: 14,042
Malmö FF defeated Östersund by a narrow margin in a relatively even match at Eleda Stadium on Sunday. Malmö had good conditions right from the start, considering they were playing at home with an impressive crowd of 14,042 present.
The match began with a fairly balanced contest in midfield, but it didn't take long before Malmö received their first yellow card. Eric Larsson faced that in the 12th minute, followed by Östersund's Rewan Amin, who received his yellow card in the 28th minute. Just a few minutes later, Malmö had the opportunity to take the lead, and it was Marcus Antonsson who managed to find the net for the first goal in the 32nd minute, with an assist from Markus Rosenberg.
Before the halftime break, we saw yet another yellow card, this time given to Fouad Bachirou. Östersund substituted both Charlie Colkett and Alhaji Gero for some reason, which proved insufficient to change the course of the game in their favor.
The second half started with a yellow card for Östersund's Jerell Anthony Sellars in the 47th minute and another for Malmö's Oscar Lewicki in the 58th minute. However, it was Malmö who had the upper hand during these minutes, and in the 62nd minute, Markus Rosenberg scored his second goal of the day, this time with an assist from Anders Bleg Christiansen. That was the final change in the scoreline.
Östersund's attempts to mount a comeback unfortunately failed, despite making several substitutions. Malmö defended their lead with all they had and tried multiple times to increase their advantage but were unsuccessful. The match therefore ended 2-0 in favor of Malmö FF, earning them three important points in Allsvenskan.
