Helsingborgs IF managed to take home an important victory against Hammarby at home at Olympia. The first half was even but Helsingborgs were the ones who broke the deadlock, after Mohammed Abubakari put the ball in the net in the fourteenth minute. However, it didn't take long for Hammarby to come back as Vidar Örn Kjartansson equalized just five minutes later, after a nice assist from Dennis Widgren.

The second half was also even but Helsingborgs created a few more scoring chances and finally it bore fruit. An own goal from Hammarby put Helsingborgs in the lead with only nine minutes left in the game and that was what was needed to win. Hammarby failed to come back and Helsingborgs could celebrate a 2-1 victory.
