AIK secured a comfortable 2-0 victory against Hammarby at the National Arena on Sunday afternoon in front of a large crowd of 32,861. It was a match that AIK dominated from start to finish. The first goal came in the 17th minute with a beautiful strike from Sebastian Larsson, who received a nice assist from Chinedu Ogbuke Obasi. Just two minutes later, AIK struck again after Larsson headed the ball into the net from a corner taken by Henok Goitom.

Hammarby tried to recover and created some chances, but AIK was too strong for them today. Hammarby received two yellow cards while AIK was awarded only a few free kicks. Hammarby brought on Vladimir Rodic and Marcus Degerlund, but unfortunately, it did not significantly improve their chances.

AIK introduced Kolbeinn Sigþórsson, Bilal Hussein, and Heradi Rashidi later in the match, which slowed down the pace of the game. AIK had a few free kicks but could not extend their lead.

In summary, AIK dominated the match from beginning to end and took a well-deserved 2-0 victory. Sebastian Larsson was the standout player in this encounter, scoring two impressive headed goals. AIK's next challenge will be against IFK Göteborg on June 16th.
