BK Häcken faced Hammarby on home ground at Bravida Arena on Monday evening. 4,897 fans had gathered to support the teams along with referee Glenn Nyberg and his assistant referees Daniel Wärnmark and Mahbod Beigi.

The match started with a shaky beginning as BK Häcken received their first yellow card in the eighth minute when Godswill Ekpolo Egbulu had his name noted in the book. Hammarby was not to be outdone, and Imad Khalili also received his warning in the 33rd minute.

BK Häcken made a substitution in the 37th minute when Adam Andersson replaced Kari Arkivuo. Almost five minutes later, Nasiru Mohammed scored a goal, which also became the opening goal for the home team. The assist was made by Paulo José De Oliveira. Hammarby could not let this go unnoticed and received their fifth yellow card, the second for David Fällman.

It seemed that Hammarby intended to respond with higher tempo and intensity, but instead, Mads Fenger Nielsen was sent off in the 44th minute. This made the challenge for Hammarby even harder, and BK Häcken took the opportunity to issue a second yellow card in the 45th minute, this time for Johan Hammar.

After the break, Hammarby struggled to find a goal, but substitutions in the 68th minute were made to help Hammarby recover. Unfortunately, the substitutions did not save Hammarby, and BK Häcken scored another goal in the 81st minute. The goal came from Alexander Jeremejeff with an assist from Erik Friberg.

BK Häcken made two substitutions in the 84th minute when Viktor Lundberg replaced Daleho Irandust and Gustav Berggren came on for Erik Friberg. Hammarby made a final substitution in the 86th minute when Jean Carlos De Brito replaced David Fällman. However, the players could not do anything about the final score of 2-0 in favor of BK Häcken.
